Trends 2010 shows
end of January were held to
Paris on Playtime lounges and Maison et Objet launching new trends in decorating. Playtime at the show dedicated to
the universe of the child, the ethnic chic, ecological and multiplication of new brands were still relevant
.
Seen on the blogosphere and identified, in particular, stands
coc nuts (I had already talked about their beautiful advent calendars) and
small shop. Stands to
image collections that are declining bed linens and supplies for our little rooms. A 2010 collection playful, fresh, fun and colorful for
Coc nuts and spontaneous, authentic and natural for
Small Shop .
The show demonstrated once again that the decoration for small grows from year to year and left shades of pink and blue layettes for developing world now well
to them.
The "path of influence" of the Maison et Objet himself was cut in the form of colorful chapters in three stages: "transculturation," "cooperative," "Hybrid".
For Elizabeth Leriche, Director of his own office trends, member of the Maison et Objet Observatory and interrogated by the blog of the show, the mix of cultures
was "noticeable this year," with collections resulting from an exchange between western designers and artisans, particularly in Africa bringing their culture and know-how. Like the collection by Tord Boontje in collaboration with Senegalese craftsmen for the company Moroso.
"The design of this collection to which other designers have participated is certainly European, but the forms are inspired by African culture such as textiles. It goes even with the chair by Konstantin Grcic that uses the expertise of master craftsmen and bamboo enriches the experience. There is a real trade " welcomes Elizabeth Leriche ... and us!
